About Us

Ensol was started in 2006 by Larry and Jane Ellison, and is currently operated from our workshop in Tremaine Avenue, Palmerston North. Larry Ellison has 25 years experience in the fuel industry and that experience has been used to design a farm fuel tank that overcomes the safety, contamination and depreciation issues that have been associated with farm fuel tanks in the past.

Ensol was formed to specifically engineer and produce a product that was needed in the marketplace. Ensol prides itself on setting innovative standards in the farm fuel tank market that others will follow. These standards and the confidence Ensol has in their tanks enables them to offer a ten year guarantee on workmanship on all static farm fuel tanks.

How Ensol began

A farm fuel distribution company called Rural Fuel Ltd identified a need for a completely different kind of farm fuel tank to overcome some historical inherent issues regarding safety, fuel contamination, and durability of farm fuel tanks.

Farm fuel distributor drivers have had a number of accidents climbing tripod tanks, with injuries ranging from broken arms and legs to back injuries. Both drivers and farmers felt there needed to be a better ladder system for farm fuel tanks.

Farmers have had problems regarding contamination of fuel, caused by internal rust, leading to diesel bug contamination.

The fuel company had sold a number of mild steel tanks to coastal farmers and within a short time -from three years- these tanks were rusty on the outside. The mild steel tanks were not lasting the test of time.
